I remember all the good music talks back in the day, when i was strictly metal and nothing else.
Since then ive started smoking weed daily, and my tastes have evolved. personally ive been listening to just about everything Heres my recent music loves, in no particular order: Pink Floyd Radiohead Between The Buried and Me Necrophagist The Faceless Bar 9 Bare Noize Skrillex Swedish House Mafia Deadmau5 Excision Downlink Zeds Dead Mimosa Pretty Lights Dr Dre Immortal Technique so, what are you fools listening to? #2Posted 03 May 2011 - 01:47 AM
To be honest with you, I haven't listened to many new bands in years. In college music was a big thing for me but since then I'm just not really bothered anymore. It was almost like a competition to know and like as many random bands as possible and everyone was swayed by trends, including me. Of course you never really forget a band you liked or a song you loved, so whenever I'm out at a rock, metal or indie club I usually know the majority of the songs there. My tastes have changed wildly over the years, so I can listen to anything from Children of Bodom to Paramore and pretty much anything in between. It's not a bad place to be in!
If I were to name my favourite band at this moment in time I would say Muse. I saw them at a huge gig last year, frigging awesome. ![]() Feel free to add me on Xbox Live, my GT is Giggsidan. Be sure to message me saying who you are! Also, follow me on Twitter @Giggsidan... Gotta get with the times, y'know? #3Posted 03 May 2011 - 05:26 AM

Zeds Dead was just down here like a month ago. Too bad I was busy with school :/
Anyways, here's what I've been listening to: Silversun Pickups Andrew Jackson Jihad- Folk-Punk band. I highly recommended them The Asteroid Galaxy Tour White Stripes- Started listening to them again as soon as they broke up. Talking Heads- Not sure why I started listening to them again, but I love it. RJD2 DJ Shadow Yeah Yeah Yeahs Streetlight Manifesto Weezer I'm sure there's more, but I'm tired right now.

Deltron 3030
J5 Lushlife Umphrey's McGee Thievery Corporation Outkast The Egg Yes The Wood Brothers Lotus (old stuff, they suck since dropping their 5th man) BB King Dr. Dre Tom Petty Muddy Waters Bonerama Boston Cream Easy Star All*Stars Soulive Rush The Roots Clapton Galactic Jimi Hendrix Led Zep Peter Tosh Santana Ray Charles Stevie Ray Vaughan That's off my recently played list. I need way more funk, so please share. Pleaseeeeee. As for a favorite band, it will always be The Wood Brothers. Always. In response to Dan's college days, I do not care for your trendy scene bands and scores of hipster followers who think music haters are cool. That shit is just annoying. How many Hipsters does it take to screw in a light bulb? It's a pretty obscure number; you've probably never heard of it. These people live (and look) like fucking hobos, but it's okay because they're cool. Ghetto, everyone tells me I should be listening to Skrillex. Worth it, you think?

In response to Dan's college days, I do not care for your trendy scene bands and scores of hipster followers who think music haters are cool. That shit is just annoying. No idea what a hipster is ;D I guess we don't have that term. It wasn't so bad when I was in college but now it's just a mess. Kids going crazy for the same crappy music and girls who loved Britney Spears a few years ago who now say they love screamo and *insert crap band here* because of *insert gay poser lead-singer here*. THAT is what annoys me. Of course I love whenever I'm at a gig that may include one of these bands, because it's hilarious seeing said kids run a mile whenever a crowd or a mosh-pit appears! I discovered a lot of bands while I was at college but I found my own place eventually! Now moving swiftly on... ![]() Feel free to add me on Xbox Live, my GT is Giggsidan. I was raised around music my whole life as a matter of fact I have a couple of auntie's who attended Mission High School with Carlos Santana. There are a couple of well known Local Bands that still jam in the city every now and then. By the way if any of you out there, are going to be in San Francisco this August 12 thru 14th check out Golden Gate Parks annual 3 Day concert called Outside Lands that will host dozen's of different types of bands and music. I guess you can call it a modern day Woodstock. Here is the website if anyone is interested.

That's off my recently played list. I need way more funk, so please share. Pleaseeeeee. Cookin' on 3 burners is a great funk band from Australia. I've also been listening to The Ebony Rhythm Band... They're a decent funk band. I also need more funk though
Ghetto, everyone tells me I should be listening to Skrillex. Worth it, you think? Skrillex is pretty good if you enjoy that kind of music: Would he categorized as Dubstep remixes/ electronic? That's what I got from him when I listened to the 3 songs of his. Prolly wrong though.
