The first phase of site upgrades has been completed. Phase 1 consisted of updating the internals of the site and consisted of most of the downtime that the site will experience during these updates. Phase 2 will consist of a reorganization of the site's forums. This will include the addition of some new forums, the removal of others, and also the cleaning up of topics within the forums. Phase 3 will consist of cosmetic changes to the site. A whole new theme for the site is being discussed right now to give the site a brand new feel. Finally, Phase 4 will involve the addition of many new features of the site that will aid us for when Diablo III is released. One of the planned features is a more advanced trading system for the site that will allow you to post and trade items and services seamlessly.

After Diablo III is finally released, we have plans to start an extremely in depth database of all things in that game. More on this will come when we get closer to the release date.

I would also like to note that from now on, the staff will be cracking down of flaming and rude behavior. This goes for everyone. Flaming has gotten out of control on this site and needs to be dealt with. Violators will be warned whether the flame was serious or sarcastic. You have been warned.

Maybe implement some sort of forum gold system? It would be tough to keep going and what not, but making FG buyable from the site would also greatly assist you in paying for the site and whatever else is needed.

I think it would be cool, if you could somehow allow us, the users, to embed videos like jsp has allowed. Kind of like embedding pictures.
The only problem I would see is someone stupid embedding porn sites or something. :/ Hmmmm. Also this might interfere with the "must be 13 or over" to join concept because someone might post like 17+ content, and that could possibly put you in a dilemma with a lawsuit or something. I don't know the laws, but I'm just trying to think and offer my concerns/opinions.

Forum Cheese is a bad idea until it's totally and COMPLETELY figured out. Otherwise, Paul Talbourg will jack us up. Make sure you know the copyright laws, talk to Njaguar, and make sure whatever we do is OK.

I wasn't aware that the "forum gold" idea was (or could be) copyrighted...

If it is, then I can always revive our auction house... I know it failed before, but that was because my programming skills were not all that great a long time ago.

i think the name forum gold might be copyrighted. but the idea of online currency isn"t.
theres like 2 other websites that use it.

I am vociferously voicing out against the video implementation. Wouldn't it just be easier to link to youtube videos rather than try to embed them? Wouldn't there be a whole set of technicalities and codings that could be more harmful than helpful.

I say, maybe once we get bigger, but in a community of less than 50, it's kind of pointless.
