PVP Golemancer by GAD

TOC:
1) Intro
2) Stats
3) Skills
4) Gear
5) Duel strategies... LOL?

1) Intro:

I love BM dueling. I love this character. I've made one of these guys before and they're the most rediculously annoying duelers ever (worse than summon druids for melee). You can really ruin a pvp melee game this way.

You will harness the awesome power of level 31 thorns on a golem that can run very fast, will slow other characters by 72% and has 61k life! Against a smiter with grief, the golem will win after the smiter attacks 2-3 times.

The main idea is that you cast golem at someone, they eventually get annoyed because now you've slowed them, and they try to kill you. GG

2) Stats:

Str: Obviously Enough for your gear (whatever it is)
Dex: Enough to use Edge rune word bow. If you can make one, make it the weakest possible bow. You're only wearing it for the aura.
Vit: NONE. OMFG! You aren't leaving town so you shouldn't need any of this.
Eng: The rest. Get as much as possible so that you don't have to visit akara all the time.

3) Skills:

MAX Clay Golem (your main skill)
MAX Golem Mastery
MAX Blood Golem
1 pt Summon Resist
1 pt Amplify Damage

The rest can go anywhere. If you want to annoy more, put a point into bone wall.

It's possible to finish this build (skill wise) at level 50 if you count all of the skill quests. However, if you want bonuses from torch, anni, arach, and bramble, you're going to need to get to level 80.

4) Gear:

Your main objective is to get as much + skills as you can and nothing else. The more + skills you have, the more life your golem is going to have right? Realisticly you can use pretty much any gear you want, as long as you include atleast bramble or edge, but this is just a suggestion to getting the highest possible life for your golem.

Weapon: Magicly Summoning Wand with +3 Summon skills, +3 Golem mastery.

Shield: Voodoo Head with +3 Summon skills, +3 Golem mastery.

(Note: You cannot get +3 Clay Golem, or atleast I've never ever seen it before)

Weapon Switch: Edge rune word bow. Gives Level 15 Thorns.

Armor: Level 21 Thorns Bramble rune word. Doesn't have to be 21 but works the best if it is.

Helm: Circlet with +3 Summon skills.

Amulet: +3 Summon skills.

Rings: Sojs or BKs. +1 all skills each.

Gloves: Trangs? Why not. Gives +2 to curses to help out your amp.

Belt: Arach obviously. +1 all skills.

Boots: Doesn't matter, but silk weave will give you more mana.

Inventory: 9x Summon Skills GCs, Anni, Torch. Standard for most + skills.

The only acception to the + skills idea is using bramble instead of enigma or coh. However, bramble is essential to your pwnage.

With this gear, like I noted at the top, your golem will have 61k life, slow other players by 72% and be able to run extremely fast.

5) Dueling:

This is a joke really. Dueling with golemancer takes almost no skill. My 5 year old cousin could reel out pks.

Step 1): Find a pvp melee game.
Step 2): Move to the edge of town.
Step 3): Hostile everyone (or wait for someone to hostile you and just pick on them all the time).
Step 4): Cast golem.
Step 5): Switch weapons to your edge bow if you have one.
Step 6): Recast golem if it dies. Though someone will probably die before that happens.

The best part about this is that the whining will never stop and eventually the whole game will just sit in town until you leave, party up against you or just leave the game completely.

 Happy Dueling.

First time poster here!

Anyways I love the guide, but just a question about the thorns, where do we get level 31 thorns from? I don't think thorns auras stack, they just alternate between the two active auras (for instance you get lvl 21 thorns for a couple seconds, then you get lvl 15). But then again I may wrong. I do know that thorns aura does stack with Iron Maiden however.....

The 2 Auras do stack.

Also, I recommend maxing Fire Golem (damage) or Iron Golem (defense) after the other skills.

Btw Gabe, loving the guide.. so BM... Maybe this is what the Summon GCs and gear were for on your account :)

Ehh..i dont think hed want damage..hes not trying to kill anyone using the golem's actual melee damage. And as for defense, well..defense would be a bad thing. It looks like you'd want the golem to be hit so the attacker will take the thorns damage.

In town Auras still affect out of town duelers. Try this with a Hammerdin in Team PK. Even when they're in town, their team members will still get Conc, or w/e Aura they choose to run.

I thought they only get defensive auras right. They don't get offensive auras. Btw. Damage ont he Golem because it will do shit against casters if they do like 200 dmg.

They do get offensive auras and yes I stated that this is for melee duels only.

Oh, one question, can you use Curses from town? or do you have to go out and cast?

Well the whole purpose of this character is to annoy, so I supposed putting a point in to decrep wouldn't be a bad idea.
